Mayor Packaging Enterprises (1968) Ltd is a privately owned flexible packaging company with its headquarters in Hong Kong. From the humble beginnings of supplying plain PE bags for tropical fish, the Mayor group has seen tremendous growth in the last 40 years, with sales reaching more than USD40 million in 2008. Sales revenue growth has been exceptional especially in the last 10 years with the entry into local China market and the setup of the export division in 1996 and 1998 respectively. Currently, Mayor exports roughly 30% of its production output to countries like USA, Europe, Mexico, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and Russia.

Mayor’s transition from a small local company to a “World Class Local Company” is a result of persistent pursuit of new technology, product and process innovation and delivering a safe and quality product to our customer’s satisfaction. The new factory, with its unique design concept, encompasses all these qualities and much more.

Designed based upon inputs from GMP and BRC consultants, the new factory is totally enclosed with a positive air pressure environment. New technology in the form of new state-of-the-art printing and laminating machines from Japan, underground waste disposal system within the factory, air showers upon entry of factory floor and modern AS/AR warehousing system are installed. The new factory is also certified to ISO9001, ISO22000, HACCP and BRC-IOP standards.

Mayor is also in the forefront in terms of environmental and health issue. The investment in the solvent recovery system and the conscious decision to use only toluene free printing inks are steps taken as a responsible corporate citizen.
